San Francisco : Bakers Beach and Sausalito..

Last Updated on November 14, 2025 by admin

So in one of my previous posts about my San Francisco visit  I wrote about the bridge to bridge cruise and palace of fine arts … today i am  gonna tell you about a very beautiful place called Sausalito and another nice beach called Baker’s beach.

Sausalito – where the fog kisses the hills and the bay whispers secrets to the shore .

Just beyond the Golden Gate, across waters that shimmer like scattered diamonds, lies this enchanted village clinging to the hillside. A place where time seems to slow, where colorful houseboats dance their gentle waltz with the tide, and where every weathered deck and sun-drenched path tells a story.

The air tastes of salt and possibility. The views unfold like a painter’s dream – the Bridge rising through the mist like a russet gateway to another world, the city skyline floating in the distance like a mirage, the boats swaying in their eternal ballet.

Here, art spills from gallery windows, bougainvillea cascades down whitewashed walls, and the soul finds its rhythm in the lapping of waves against wooden piers.

A sanctuary of beauty, just a ferry ride away from the world’s hurried heart.

Sausalito is a 15 minute drive from San Francisco across the bay and over the Golden Gate Bridge. Sausalito is full of unique stores, home-based ventures, amazing restaurants and lots of open spaced with beautiful views over the bay.

Whether you want to do some cycling, see a beautiful quaint little town with beautiful stores and wonderful restaurants or you just want to get away Far from the madding Crowd, Sausalito is the perfect place .

While coming back to Sf we decided to take the Ferry from Sausalito to SF and the views from the ferry at dusk were amazing as you can see from the pics in the gallery below.

Here are some of the pics I took that day no my trip to Sausalito, do let me know what you think in the comments below….

Baker Beach: Where the City Surrenders to the Wild

There are places where the urban pulse fades into something ancient, something vast and untamed. Baker Beach is one of those rare thresholds – a golden crescent of sand where San Francisco’s symphony of steel and ambition gives way to the primal roar of the Pacific.

Stand here at the right hour, and the world rearranges itself. The Golden Gate Bridge rises from the mist like a titan’s dream made real, its burnt sienna towers framing the Marin Headlands in a portrait that never grows old, no matter how many times you’ve seen it. The bridge isn’t just a backdrop here – it’s a presence, a guardian watching over this sacred margin between land and sea.

The sand remembers everything: footprints that vanish with each wave, bonfires that warm cold coastal nights, whispered conversations carried away by the salt-laden wind. Cypress trees bow landward, sculpted by years of ocean breath. Tide pools hold universes. Seabirds trace invisible patterns across impossible blue.

This is where San Francisco comes to remember what it means to be small beneath the sky, to feel the earth’s heartbeat through bare feet on cool sand, to watch the sun sink into the horizon and paint everything gold.

Baker Beach doesn’t ask for anything. It simply is – wild, beautiful, eternal.

It was a beautiful sunny day when we went to Baker Beach. Please below some of the pics We took that day, do let me know what you think in the comments below….
